Calendar

All invites are sent on Google calendar, which if set up, will also sync with your mobile calendar. Please make sure your notifications are set to sync and other settings are adjusted to your preference.

Scheduling calls or Meetings

All meetings and calls internally are set up via Google meet. Google Meet gives you access to several tools including options to sync calendars, sheets, docs and drive for presentations within the meeting. You can record important meetings (with permission from all), use jamboards for brainstorm sessions, use break-out rooms for mini discussions etc. For calls, you will need to coordinate time slots and calendar availability within spaces. You can make individual calls to your teammates through the Gmail app on your phone or send them a call request over Meet on the browser.

Internal calls or messages on other apps

We urge all work related calls or messages to happen over Google Meet or other professional-use applications only. If for any reason we need to contact each other outside of these apps, do consider requesting the permission of the person you are trying to contact before you do so. Especially if it is outside of regular work hours. In hybrid work setups, it’s easy for work and life to overlap. It’s on each of us to create an environment where we’re considerate of each other’s time and space.

Should we even call a meeting?

Before any meeting, ask yourself, can this be an email instead? If yes, don’t send out that meeting invite. We encourage an active writing-first culture.

Remote-first meetings

Distributed working is hard. Anyone who has joined a meeting remotely while others are in a conference room knows this pain. It’s important that all meetings provide an opportunity for everyone involved to participate equally. If any one person is not able to make it (on having informed well in advance) to a physical meeting, the call will be remote for all. You can choose where you want to take this call from, even if a physical office meeting was scheduled.

Internal comms other than emails

Google chat workspaces will be created based on the project and team you are working with. These spaces have inbuilt bots for task management. Your admin will have access to these tools. We use asana to manage task-lists, project planning and management.

External comms other than emails

It is likely that we use other third-party messaging apps (WhatsApp, signal etc.) for external stakeholder communication outside of emails. As far as possible, these groups are for informal discussions only. Therefore approvals on costing, content etc. will continue to need email sign-offs for official approvals.

Other Software

We understand that with our current hybrid/remote-active working style, a lot of effort goes towards smooth collaboration. We encourage you to use our subscribed online tools and project trackers to go about your day to day.

A foundational principle that we believe in at Talented is for all of us to get our work done without the need for any follow up. We think it’s the best way to show that we respect each others time and reaffirm our commitment to each other. Time that can be spent on creativity.

Below you will find basic information regarding some of the collaboration and delivery coordination tools that we use internally.
